NN-XT Patches
[over 600 NN-XT patches]
We've focused on the special features of the
NN-XT advanced sampler, so PROTON2 is an 'NN-XT
only' refill, therefore you won't find NN-19 or
Redrum patches.
PROTON2 contains more than 600 NN-XT
patches as an initial set* in the following categories:
Arp& Sequences [51
patches]
Arpeggio-like short sounds, tempo-synced sequences
to create auto accompaniment, or other interesting
things. Use them for speeding up your arrangements
with fast played melody lines.
Bass [poly] [39
patches]
a wide range of polyphonic analogue bass sounds
Brass & String [20
patches]
Yes. You can find here some brass and string patches...;-)
Epiano & Keyboards [29
patches]
A bunch of colourful synthetic & analogue-like
keyboard patches.
Experimental & FX [30
patches]
Special effects you have always been waiting for!:)
Disgusting noises, messages from the space, some
tempo synced stuff. Use them to shock your neighbours!:)
Lead [poly] [26
patches]
Lead polyphonic synthesizer sounds that you can
use as melody instruments in front of your mix.
MonoSynth [26
patches]
Collection of monophonic analogue basses &
leads.
Organ [10
patches]
Some simple and some more complex organs. And...
some weird ones ;-)
Pad [46 patches]
A lot of very complex and rich-sounding synthesizer
sounds for use in the background of your mix.
Percussion [48
patches]
Analogue-like percussion sounds, and a complete
GM compatible drumkit... cool!:)
RAW Patches (single & fat version)
for sound design [295
patches]
These patches will be very useful for sound designers.
If you want to create new sounds, this is your
starting point.
*After you registered your copy, you
will be able to download more patches in the future.
oscillators/waveworms
Proton works as an analogue multi-osc synthesizer,
it uses short waveforms to produce the sounds.
With these waveforms you can create sounds with
long and complex envelopes which go far beyond
true analogue synths.
After due experiments we have chosen 45 types
of waveforms which are a suitable collection
to create wide range of analogue type sounds.
The core: wav samples [45 oscillators - based
on 551 .wav files]
Well, to make cool patches we need cool samples
too: the sample material of the refill comes from
really cool synthesisers, from Juno-60, Jupiter4,
DX7, and Moog Prodigy!
We recorded and edited the waveforms very prudently,
and as a result we have got 551 samples that represent
these oscillators (valid range is from C1 to C7):

Requirements
Reason 2.0 or higher version
800 MHz Pentium III, or equivalent processor
(faster is better)
Considering that the patches of Proton take the
full advantages of NN-XT sampler, an external
velocity sensitive midi keyboard with mod-wheel
& aftertouch is highly recommended!
