Testimonals

"I'm very impressed with the sounds from Reasonbanks.com. The samples are recorded very well, retaining the big sound of real analog synthesizers.
The programming is excellent too. For example, the way that layered patches are broken down into elements so as to retain their playability is outstanding.

In the past, I've never really liked faux analog sounds on samplers - they never seemed to work. Either the sound was static, and unresponsive to my playing, or the sound of the filters in the sampler could not compete with the real thing. Now that samplers (such as the NN-XT) finally have decent sounding filters, the time has come to revisit the whole idea. You guys are right on time!

I can praise the specific techniques of your good work, but even more important, your taste is excellent. I find many of the sounds to be very usable, and very responsive. I appreciate sounds that change based on the player. We may all own the same drum loops some day, but if a patch sounds "like me" when I play it, then it can be a tool to help make my work unique.

Thanks again guys, for building the best faux analog for samplers I've ever enjoyed."

"Like: The thing i like about Orange2 is its unlimited possibility. It comes from PinkNoise so the quality is without say great. But wow, this refill is a must have for any dance/trance/'techno' producer. What you get is not built sounds, but the blocks with which to build them. You do get some awsome nnxt patches, but the meat is in the 'elements', the blocks that you use to build your sounds with.

You're not 'stuck' so to speak with any one sound. One thing i will say is, this is not a refill for people who use a lot of presets and dont know how to consturct sounds.

The patches is comes with (patches made by PinkNoise using the 'elements') are friggin awsome, but its just a small part of the refill, you will have a lot of patches tha you will be like "what the heck is this"? if you dont know how to tweek and shape them.

Dislike: i swear im not just kissing butt!!! this refill rocks!!! nothing i disliked!

Grade:     5 points - excellent, highly recommended!"

'...The sampling is impeccable and the programming top-notch throughout, with velocity splitting, alternate and release triggering (for randomly varied sounds), mod wheel and aftertouch all put to good use. Detailed, tempo-synched LFOs make the arp and pad multisamples come to life and sound burblingly PPG-authentic. Basses are tight and right on the money while pads and atmospheres are pure, silky Waldorf heaven. I had pleasure finding room for Orange2 in everything from dry German-style techno and minimalist electro to fuller ambient and pop material. In short, this is an exquisite collection of signature sounds...'     read he full review

'Orange2 is the flagship sound collection of Reasonbanks (PinkNoise). It contains multi-sampled synth sounds patched up for the NN-XT and NN-19 samplers. This ReFill combines traditional multi-sampling with the concept of their Proton ReFill's. You will find complex multi-samples as well as basic waveforms like saw, square, sine, etc. This makes for a very varied and great sounding set of patches. The sound quality is what we are used of Reasonbanks, very good! ...

...Orange2 is a comprehensive collection of sounds. It utilizes the NN-XT to it's fullest capability's. The sample material sounds great and the included musical patches are varied and very usable. The price is very reasonable if you look at what's on offer here. And the option to use the sound material in other applications is a thing which a lot of ReFill users want. A great ReFill which will definately add much to your Reason experience!'     read he full review
