About the synth

Oberheim Matrix-1000 is the last real analogue synth of Oberheim from the late 80's. The Matrix-1000 is a single-space compact rackmount module. It has the same synth architecture as the Matrix 6.

Each of its 6 voices has 2 DCO's (digitally controlled analogue oscillator), 1 low pass filter, 2 VCA's, 3 envelope gens, 2 LFO's, and 2 ramp gens. The Matrix-1000 provides an excellent source of pads, textures and ambient sounds.

It has been used by Apollo 440, Juno Reactor, Moby, Cirrus, Fatboy Slim, Laurent Garnier, ATB, Depeche Mode, Future Sound of London, Pet Shop Boys, and Faithless.

Already in Analogue Monsters?

The sample content of MATRIX is already included in ANALOGUE MONSTERS 3.

The big difference is the patchbank: compared to AM3, MATRIX contains a lot of new exciting NN-XT and Combinator patches.

We created a special MATRIX patchbank for the Analogue Monsters 3 users, which is 100% compatible with MATRIX and available for free.

If you are a registered AM3 user, just login and download it from the updates section: it's a real value, you will be surprised!:)

Upgrade option to AM3

MATRIX is a full featured refill, and - as a part of Analogue Monsters 3 - it can be an unexpensive alternative of AM3 for people who need the Oberheim synth only.

Moreover, when you buy MATRIX, you will get the whole price as a discount: you can upgrade to Analogue Monster 3 anytime you wish, with no extra cost.
