Analogue Heaven skin collections by "Jiggery-Pokery"

Matt Black a.k.a. "Jiggery-Pokery" has spent many months creating these fantastic Monster-skins. All models are very accurate and look authentic.

Don't miss them, all of them are available for free!

Volume 1      Volume 2      Volume 3

Volume 1. Analogue Monsters

This collection of high-quality Combinator skins features all of the Reasonbanks Analogue Monsters, plus all the other named synthesizers contained within Reason 3.

The full rundown:

The Reasonbanks Analogue Monsters:
Alesis Andromeda A6
Korg MonoPoly
Korg MS-20
Korg Poly 800
Moog Prodigy
Roland Juno
Roland Jupiter 4
Studio Electronics SE-1X
Waldorf Microwave XT

Sounds from several of the above can be found in Reason Factory Sound Bank v3, since Reasonbanks were involved in its preparation.

The other Reason monsters:
ARP 2600
ARP Odyssey White
ARP Solina (okay, strictly speaking this is only a SubTractor patch in Reason, but it's a nice sound, though I devised this skin for a set of sampled Solina strings, hence this is the only skin here with pre-ordained button text)
Elektron SIDStation (don't ask ... I saw some patched prefixed SID, so I just assumed ...)
Ensoniq SQ-80
Korg Polysix
Oberhiem OB-8
Roland Jupiter 6
Roland Jupiter 8

Within, er, reason - and the limitations imposed by the Combinator layout - I've tried to make the skins as authentic as possible (e.g. the Minimoog wood panels are geniune Minimoog side panels, ditto the OB-8 and Jupiter 4), right down to downloading manuals to ensure text label accuracy, correct fonts (especially for logos) etc., though naturally decisions as to what to include and leave out are either arbitrary or to best serve the layouts. (The only skin I'm not happy with is the Poly 800, but then it's a really crap looking synth and there's not much to work with). Both Photoshop and Illustrator were used to create knobs and buttons (I'm particularly proud of my 2600 patch cables, damn shame they're static) as well as the utilising of VST implementations such as Arturia's, and a host of Web based resources and high-quality photos.

A lot of effort has gone into creating these skins, finding many of the previously available variants for the above lacking, I hope you enjoy adding them to your Reason rack, loading up some patches knowing that both the sound and the look are authentic. So if you appreciate them, please vote, and then make lots of music.

One other request goes to the PropHeads ... please can we skin the knobs and buttons in v4 - and line up the bloody buttons and associated text properly with the knobs above next time!!!! (There, someone had to say it, but I still love you.)

Volume 2:  Electromaniacal

Pack up your suitcase and head for the land of the lounge lizards with this collection of high-quality Combinator skins featuring all of the named "electromechanical" keyboards from the Reason Factory and Electromechanical refills.

Here's the lowdown on the volume 2 goodies:

Electromechanical refill:
Hammond organ
Hohner Clavinet D6
Hohner Pianet T
Rhodes mk I
Rhodes mk II [both Rhodes are based on the 73-key models, like the samples]
Wurlitzer EP104B
Wurlitzer EP200

Other skins for patches included in Reason Factory:

Chamberlin [a vastly improved version of my earlier attempt at the M1 model]
Farfisa (of the countless models and variants of countless models available, I finally settled on a charmingly beaten-up red Compact)
Mellotron M300
Mellotron M400 [Reason only specifies Mellotron (or even less specifically, "Mel"!!), but the M300 and M400 are probably the best-known and best-looking models of their era, and since the cassettes and samples are interchangeable, it's nice to have the choice!]
Vox Continental
Vox Super Continental [patch names only specify "Vox" - hence two a single and double manual Vox skin to choose from!]
Yamaha CP80

Volume 3: Oscillititilating Beasties

I can't say it properly either ;o)

For the final volume of the Analogue Heaven trilogy of high-quality Combinator skins, it's a return a host of modern and classic analogue beasts and beatboxes. Most of the included synths do have sounds available free as .rfl's, .sf2's or .wav's.

The full rundown:

Access Virus B
Access Virus Classic
Access Virus TI
Access Indigo 2
Elka Synthex
Korg Electribe MX
Korg Electribe A mkII
Korg Electribe R mkII
Korg Electribe S mkII
Korg microKorg
Korg MS2000
Korg Poly-800
[amended vol. 1 skin - darker backdrop, and added button shadows]
Korg Poly-800II [this is what the vol. 1 skin should have been!]
Moog Memorymoog
Moog MicroMoog
Moog Taurus
Moog Voyager
Roland JP-8000
Roland SH-101 Red
Roland SH-101 Blue
Roland SH-101 Grey
[The 101's should have been in vol. 1, as samples are available in Factory Sound Bank]
Roland TB-303
Roland TR-808
Roland TR-909
Sequential Circuits Prophet 5

Within, er, reason - and the limitations imposed by the Combinator layout - I've tried to make the skins as authentic as possible, logo fonts for example are correct or of a similar variety. Naturally decisions as to what to include and leave out are either arbitrary or to best serve the layouts. ReBirth helped with the T-x0x's, as did Arturia with on the Yamaha.

So enjoy adding them to your Reason rack, loading up some patches knowing that both the sound and the look are (fairly) authentic. So if you appreciate them, please vote highly, and then make lots of music!
